About Me
Creativity has always shaped how I see and move through the world. While pursuing a PhD in public health, I made space to weave art into my research, securing grants to develop puppetry-based programs that addressed childhood bullying and sexual abuse prevention in the U.S. and abroad.
Travel has also influenced my practice, introducing me to new traditions and ways of making. Japanese woodworking taught patience and precision, Moroccan mosaics deepened my love of pattern and texture, and Balinese shadow puppetry revealed the power of light and silhouette in storytelling.
Today, I continue to keep creativity at the center of my life. In my professional work, I use visual storytelling to simplify complexity and spark dialogue. At home, I share the joy of making with my children, encouraging them to experiment with materials, try new ideas, and discover the satisfaction of bringing a story or object to life.
